Not crossing the threshold of my house for several weeks.

Banging saucepans together on my doorstep.

"Having a drink with a friend" meaning bringing your own and sitting on the pavement outside their house while they talk to you through an open window

It would take more than a pandemic to induce me to watch anything with Piers Morgan in it :D

I must admit I didn’t really want to but he has effectively been the only journalist seriously prepared to take on this incompetent government

    Regular cycle rides with friends.

Joining a long queue to get into a cafe.

Booking a table in a pub for a meal several days before the event.

Standing back and waiting for a section to clear in the supermarket before continuing with my shopping.

Feeling like there is no point booking a holiday.

    • Waiting anxiously for my son, daughter in law and granddaughter to receive government permission to fly home from Australia in October. They were supposed to be returning home permanently at the end of May in time for my younger daughter's wedding in June.
    • Unravelling all the arrangements for her wedding.
    • Praying that the outbreaks do not worsen.

I hate the fact that you can't go anywhere now without pre-booking.

Menu planning. I never used to do it before, just wandered down to the shop for what I needed/fancied/was reduced that day.
I get so cross with myself if I fancy something particular for a meal and discover one vital ingredient is missing so have to mask up and risk infection just for lemongrass.

That’s in the front and back of my mind. Particularly going to the pub has now become a bit of an event.
