Not being anti something doesn't make you pro. Do I believe we need a professional body? Well like two thirds of UCU members, yes I do. AreIfL making a poor fist of it? Well, on balance no I don't think they are, I see little difference between them and other professional bodies. Indeed in the more 'professional' sites where IfL is being discussed there is a view that they provide better benefits and value for money than the likes of CIPD (not a member, so I can't judge). Am I convinced I am right all the time? No. But I do believe I have the same right as anyone else to express an opinion. If you arefering to those times when I set right the inaccuracies of others, well - I can read so I simply repear what I have read and that happens to be known fact. So it does make me right at those times. My opinion may well be 'wrong' in your eyes, but facts are facts. Why do I hide behind a pseudonym? Well, when I joined the terms and conditions (which I bother to read) advise against using your own name as this is an anonymous forum. If I had a 'real name' as my user name it may or it may not be my 'real name'. But hey, you're new here (*sniggers*) so I'll tell you mt name, it's Paul - what's yours?
