    Hi everyone,

I would really appreciate some feedback from Textiles specialists about how their school is approaching the proposed new Design and Technology specification and how they see Textiles fitting in to it. Is anybody considering going through the Art and Design route to teach the 'Textile Design' specification? If so, would the teaching at KS3 be part of DT or Art?

Check out Julie Boyd's website, you will find more info about the new material areas and LOTS of reasons to not move to Art Textiles. The info is very helpful and asks you to consider the impact of moving from DT to Art Textiles. Perhaps you could emai, your HoD or SLT....
