In football as in life.
Someone should have paid me to watch Stevenage and Morecambe yesterday afternoon.
This is going to cause trouble, but here goes: I had to pop out in my car tonight around 5.45pm. Leicester were playing Arsenal in the Premier league - quite a big match at the business end of the table. BBC 5 Live - commentary of England Ladies vs Germany Ladies (a friendly) so I re-tuned to Talksport to find the same match on that station too!
Political correctness gone mad?
There's an agreement between Sky and other broadcasters about which matches can be broadcast live on radio.
Besides the Saturday evening fixture is NEVER on Radio 5 Live because 606 is on at the same time.
It's great fun going to the Bridge this season - not because the results are (now) going our way too, but because the football is so refreshing. It's never dull - unlike last season.
@Jesmond12 - how are you feeling about Steve Bruce these days?
Going to the Bridge must be great at the moment. There is so much potential for the future. That’s what it used to be like in the Keegan days in the 1990’s. You would come home absolutely buzzing.
The jury is still out on Bruce though performances are getting better. I really hope that he keeps this current form going.
On the other hand going to the Abbey to watch Cambridge is not fun at the moment.
The standard in League Two this season is shocking.
Tottenham have sacked head coach Mauricio Pochettino after five years at the club.
I didn’t really expect that.
No trophies and going backwards will be the reason
I'd say he hasn't been able to get the players he wanted...
I wonder if he'll end up at Manchester United, if they have enough money to buy the dozen players he'd want / need.
I am happy for him to come to NUFC
He was never going to see out the season. He’s looked quite depressed lately.
Brucie seems to be doing okay...
I like Pochettino. Nice bloke and he was also a very good player
What a difference to Arsenal. They went backwards and won no trophies and they stuck with Wenger for years.
Well done to Wales!
They won the FA Cup in 14, 15 and 17 (and the Charity shield in those three seasons too) and qualified for Europe in 19 successive seasons. Only Real Madrid have bettered that. European football for 19 straight seasons. And all on a budget compared to other top flight clubs.
Mourinho to Tottenham - it won't work.
He's going to get a stormy reception back at the Bridge.
Interesting appointment. I can't see it being a positive one.
Why not? He has a proven track record as good as anyone's
He even got that shambolic Man Utd side to second place and won the Europa League with them.
