Have I mentioned Cambridge United are 3rd in League Two yet ?
I am watching out for their results.
I'll be happy if we just avoid relegation at the end of thIs season.
Going to Peterborough and Sunderland a week tomorrow - really looking forward to that.
Fernando Torres retired today
A fine, fine player
Really ? - he was s**t for Chelsea
He once held the World Cup, Champions League, Europa League, and European Championship titles at the same time.
1 x World Cup
2 x European Championships
2 x Europa Leagues
1 x Champions League 1 x FA Cup
and 300+ goals
About 3 of those goals were while he was at Chelsea.
He was a total bust for us.
He was never as good after two knee injuries in 2010 - Chelsea bought him in January 2011, and he never performed as brilliantly as he had for L'pool.
Still put a few useful goals away, but always seemed a bit lightweight - spent a lot of time on the floor.
However, part of our CL winning team (sub), so part of Chelsea history.
My local League Two team have just built a new stand. The last time they did this, they were promoted. I had a season ticket at the time. Green Army
Stevenage have a new stand - it looks like it's made from Lego. Has anyone seen Stevenage's new logo - it has a deer on it that looks like Bambi
...and which healthy product is on the new (appalling) home shirts - yes you guessed it - Burger King.
....and they haven't scored yet this season.
We lost 2-1 to Oldham today having battered them for 90 minutes - quite an encouraging display - just bad finishing.
Only 4 of the team were in the side that finished last season.
.....and at the very last moment I moved the captaincy of my FF side away from Salah.
Don't forget to tune in...
I moved mine to Sterling So I hope he has a good game tomorrow.. I also brought Pukki in so I am pleased. My defence were terrible this week.
I don't have any Spurs players - since I expect they will put endless goals past Newcastle this afternoon that's likely to be a mistake
Bury have now been expelled from the Football League. The company trying to buy the club cancelled their interest when the deep financial difficulties made it impossible for them to continue.
A sad, sad day and you have to feel sorry for the fans. This is poignant reading:
At least Bolton now have a couple of weeks grace.
Greenock Morton second in the Championship.
I wouldn't actually give much for Bolton's chances either.
What happens to the results already in and the results that won't come in?
I suspect they would all be wiped out.
If Bolton go (and I think they will) then League 1 will be 22 clubs this year and there will be only two teams relegated. Four clubs would come up from League 2 and two additional teams from the National league would come up into League 2 to balance out the numbers.
Bolton have no players so even if there is a takeover they will certainly be relegated anyway.
The debts are crippling - nobody in their right mind would want to take them on.
As a fan of lower League footy, I am absolutely gutted for Bury. Just imagine all the euphoria of promotion and then before a ball is kicked in the new division your club more or less cease to exist. I know they will rise again but it will take time.
