Congratulations to ManCity and Liverpool for a great end to the season

Congratulations to my beloved and often infuriating NUFC who ended the season with a 4 -0 thumping of Fulham. I truly hope that Rafa stays with us.

Congratulations to the top three in the TES Fantasy Football League mini league. I had a forgettable season.

True, but Chelsea have only won two against them in the last ten attempts.

At least you finished above me in the TES League, Jesmond!

I love football but, after the FA Cup final, I’ll enjoy the break. It’s been a nerve-jangling run-in.

    Goals change games
It only takes a second to score a goal

Kompany's goal fits the bill for two of Clough's soundbites. The goal that won the league?

I feel absolutely privileged to have been in the ground to see it.

It had exactly the same effect on me! I was in tears and thought I might pass out as my head felt so peculiar.

I finished second in our league - went downhill a bit towards the end of the season but looking forward to the next one.

The polar opposite of Steve Gerrard's slip.
As Cloughie said: "Players lose you games, not tactics".

I felt terribly sorry for Steve Gerrard that day, but not for Liverpool, such romance, such entitlement, bleugh.

I'd like to see them win the Champions League.

Chris Hughton sacked. That seems harsh.

It can be a cruel game

I hear the Wolves fans were cheering fake Man City goals in the first half to wind the Liverpool fans up. First class shithousery.

    Man Utd finish sixth.

A dreadful end to their season with some awful performances.

Keane on Pogba before yesterday's game:

There is no meaning behind it and I don't even think he believes what he says any more.

He's on about being a teammate. Well, if you are to be if you are being a good team-mate, you have to run back. You need to run back when you are defending.

He said it got a bit heated after the game against Everton. I heard they were throwing their hair gel at each other - it got that heated.

He's a talented boy but we're saying the same things over and over again. The number of times I've seen him in games where he's not sprinting back. He's talking about body language, throwing his arms up in the air. He's a big problem for United.

I don't think he leads by example from what I've seen. I don't know what he's like around the training ground. You mentioned body language and pride, I don't see it in his performances and my eyes don't lie to me.

Pogba couldn't have made Keane look more correct if he'd tried:

I would never have Pogba in my team - he's a decent player - but a toxic presence.

United have really fallen apart very quickly

Which I think proves it's not the manager who is the problem. Whichever manager.
