Looking forward to the cup semi final later - should be a good one.
Certainly sounds more exciting than the one I went to yesterday!
Was a very good game
Thank you to Mr Hazard for an amazing goal and 32 fantasy footie points last night.
Very nice. He's getting better all the time.
There's an incredibly quick right foot that gets him into the box before he shoots
A touch of the Maradona about it.
Imagine the coverage that would get in this day and age.
It was a great goal! It got better every time it was replayed at the stadium. Good second goal, too.
Chelsea could have had at least 4 goals - Hudson-Odoi put in a number of passes from the right which just failed to be poked in / slid past the post.
It's good to see them actually attacking in the last couple of games, rather than maintaining possession but doing nothing with it. I've enjoyed the last couple of games, having got very bored in a number of games this season.
Pity we still have Man United & Liverpool to play away, as they both need the points as much as we do. Also Burnley at home, and they're on a bit of a resurgence.
Still, makes the end of the season very interesting.
We may well make the Top 4 - Spurs will run out of gas as they always do and Arsenal are hopeless away from home.
I thought you'd stopped supporting the Blues!!!
Old habits die hard.
However I'll be at the totally glamorous Cambridge v Newport grudge match on Saturday afternoon.
Fourth for Arsenal then.
If they're lucky
I wish they had tonight. Grrr.
Cheer up - Kane's gone for the rest of the season.
Alli might be out for a few games too.
I got to see Maradona play live and I could never explain the utter brilliance of the man as a footballer to anyone who did not likewise see him live. What we do not get on the television is how he was looking around like a peacock and incredibly (eerily even) aware of where every single player was and every single option he had for a pass.
Then to bamboozle everyone, he would pick the pass that made no sense.....until it had put someone clean through on goal.
You had to feel it - it cannot be put into words
Correct in that if he were English, we would still be playing his best moments 24/7, probably on a free channel devoted to him.
Incredible skills and awareness.
...and a cheat
Fair point although I often think he was in shock - a 5ft odd player should not have been able to out jump the English goalkeeper. But don't get me started on Shilton.
Yes it hurt but I don't think Mara's was half as bad so far as blatant, deliberate cheating as Thierry Henry's against the Irish.
Yes it was
Football history could have been so different....
