25 years in the making...
Well it'll certain end some careers... just depends who wins the referendum.
Might make a few too.
Some commentators do talk a load of dribble.or is it wishful thinking.......of course it wont be the end of the Tories as your headline proclaims.
We need a new party where politicians speak the truth but live in reality.
We do. But we won't get one.
May be we should get one of the posters who pontificate on here to be our new leader...volunteers?
You could have left .right, centre or down right confused.
The 1975 referendum brought about the demise of the Labour party as we knew it. It brought together politicians from separate parties who wouldn't normally plot with each other. They found they could work together well enough and so the SDP was formed and split the Labour party, ultimately keeping them out of office for nigh on twenty years.
Let's hope something similar happens with the nasty party.
IDS seems to think it is a possibility.
The Tories seem to be split 50 / 50 ish; the 'outs' will find it hard to reconcile an 'in', and won't be able to help themselves to a 'night of the long knives' if it is an out.
The Old Boys? Not stick together? Wash your mouth out!
Their only ideology is the bottom line of the balance sheet.
It depends who is working Cameron, Osborne et al with a hand up their back, and if it is in their interest for us to stay in. My money is on the Chinese.
Just a single drop of blood in the dust and they'll come back
sounds like a Dracula movie lol
Call out the attack dogs! @grumpydogwoman has breached the code!!!
The reason for them to stay together is far stronger than any reason to split. Mutual greed will almost always trump any petty differences.
Any contenders for that title that you can think of- in all countries? ever?
