The end of many fee concessions at F.E

Discussion in 'Special educational needs' started by mainbanana, Jan 5, 2011.

  1. I'm interested to find out about how other F.E colleges with students with a learning disability deal with fee remissions . We no longer accept DLA as a fee remission
We have been told that from September students who recieve Income support will no longer be entitled to a remission (19+) - this being the result of government policy.
Employment support allowance (income assessed )will still be ok we think
The general feeling is that this could have a big impact on recruitment - Many students will not be able/willing to pay
    Whats your experience ?
