    Why was Charlotte Edwards dropped?

I'm not sure but it might have been that her face no longer fitted the vision for the team.

Bairstow's ton was a joy to watch. Is there any more sentimental sport than cricket?

Take a look at Marvin Cohen, author of Baseball the Beautiful and passionate convert to cricket.

I think that she complained about the timing of her dismissal and its manner.

Yes, she did. Do you blame her?

Edwards is 36 and her fitness is (allegedly) in question. She can't take quick singles. I don't say it's a GOOD reason. Just what has been said. Sounds lame though. ;) As an excuse.

The new supremo just doesn't like her. That's basically it.

I think they probably are, but it's been good to see the Ceylonese put up a fight and there's the potential of another four days cricket left for them to go home with something to be proud of from this match.

I reckon Bairstow will be up for taking his knock up to 150 and Woakes, his up to 50. Broad might get 30, or they might all be out in the first few overs, which will make for a more exciting game than we've had so far.

Broad jolly well should get a good score on this. It's not as if he's going to get a 90mph rip-snorter up his nose.

I love how the sponsor is 'Ceylon Tea'!!!!!!!!

First time I went to Goa - headed down to the beach. Children playing cricket as the sun was going down . ' Marvellous ' as Richie would say.

Yes the thing about the singles .We commented on that when we watched some of her most recent matches. Still great ambassador and all that.

What do we make of this image then?

Should cricketers with tattoos on their arms be allowed on the field in short-sleeved shirts? I'm pretty sure the MCC wouldn't let anyone into the Long Room at Lords unless they were wearing a proper shirt and tie.

Sorry to be late. I don't blame her. I don't know enough about the issues.
