Has anyone read this? It's our Book Club choice for this month and I really can't be ar**d to read it. I looked at a preview of it on Amazon and am even less willing to give it a go! I might just not attend this session, unless anyone can talk me out of it!

No does not appeal. Life is too short to ' tackle ' books/ go through the motions.Never bothered with a Book Club as I am not interested in listening to what others have to say - ha !Also a bit of a trend recently to stick an ' of ' in front of a demanding place and write a best seller ;)

I’ve not read it I’m afraid but I know that feeling of not wanting to read a certain book for book club review. Why not see if it’s available as an audiobook to download and listen to, much less like work and you can skip whole chunks of it if it’s boring you.

I know what you mean by Book Clubs, @minnie me, but the ladies in my club have become good friends and a few of us socialise. This makes it harder for me to not read it, but I'll probably just not turn up anyway!

The Milkman of Waping.- a comedic overview of the changes in the newspaper print industry as seen through the eyes of Reg, the long serving milkman.

The Florist of Krakow - the harrowing tale of a florist forced to flee Krakow as the Nazis advance but returns to rebuild her life in the ruins as Communism grips the nation.

An Anthropologist among the Valley - A failed post-grad student returns to his Welsh home and finds his education has created an insurmountable divide between him and his peers.

The Entomologist of Sarajevo - during the siege of Sarajevo, a lone entomologist struggles to maintain his ant colony [symobolising Sarajevo] as his world disintegrates around him.

Are these titles made up, Lan, before I go on Amazon?....
