The August riots in England - Report

    Having spent an hour or two reading the full report last night it raises two questions in my mind.

    1. Why do we spend a huge amount of public money asking a team of academics to state the flipping obvious, and in doing so say very little.

    2. Why do we let our children who want ,"a bit of rave" or to get some, "free stuff" out of our control. It would seem rather than gang led civil disruption on an organised level or even disaffection with the capitalist state, it was bored unsupervised teens taking advantage of their misplaced freedom.
