I popped over to see if @peggylu had posted...

Not entirely sure what is up but hope everything is OK with you...

    @peggylu - we're all thinking of you!

Has anyone had a chance to read this month's book? I confess I haven't had time as this month has been very tricky in terms of lack of time!

Sorry for very tardy reply. Still no sign of @peggylu? :(

I think we've lost @ peggyly for the time being. I don't know if she's sick, or worse.

I did send her a message and there's been no reply,

Has anyone else heard from her, and if we just don't hear from her, do we try and resurrect "The Actual Book Club" ?

It has been over six months now. People do sometimes just want a break from the online world. I hope that's what it is.

I say let's get the ABC going again.

I really hope that @peggylu is ok. I think it would be lovely if we started the book club again.

Me too. I do hope she's ok.

Ditto to both of these. So.... shall we all suggest a book and then maybe just choose them in alphabetical order or something?

    I'm considering reading:

"The Guernsay Literary and Potato Peel Society" by Mary Ann Schafer

    "The Historian" by Elizabeth Kostova

"The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon" by Stephen King

Am always looking for new suggestions tho'

Would you like to suggest some books, and then we could maybe just do them in alphabetical order or something?

We could start with the Guernsey literary and potato peel pie society. I've been meaning to read it since the film came out and I'll have a look for something we could read next. I have also been wanting to read The Historian for a while too though. Are you going to join us @asnac?

I'd be up for the King or the Schafer...

I've read ''The Historian'' already [and loved it]

So quite happy to join in... I liked reading stuff outside my bubble.

    I've started on
"The Guernsay Literary and Potato Peel Society" by Mary Ann Schafer

I have to admit to liking the narrative voice of the writers of the letters, but dispite this I get a bit confused and have to flip back to check who is writng to who - and I find it hard to picture the characters too.
