Hey,
I am desperately trying to find the powers question where they are given a list of multiplication facts and have to deduce other ones using the same base number, anyone know where it is or what year it is from?

Sounds like one of the activities from the Improving Maths box, I'll go and have a look.

Is this it? It's from the 'Mostly Number' section N12

Use mini-whiteboards to revise the laws of indices by asking for possible values for the question marks in:

2^3 × 2^4 = 2^?
3^7 ÷ 3^2 = 3^?
5^? × 5^? = 5^12
2^? ÷ 2^? = 2^?

I thought this old chestut was THAT powers question.
Solve x^x^x^x^x^x^x^x^x^x^x^... (infinite tower) = 3
