    Hi Guys,
Need help for year 7 and 8, we are looking for a software that students can learn and use - a test software where it teaches the students skills in software e.g. how to put a footer, how to print in handout etc.
Any ideas of a very good software package for this dont mind paying for the software.
Also is there a free touch typing software for students?
    Shaz

    Hi Shaz

FOCUS did a great tutorial disk for the Win2000/WinXp Office programs which had a student interactive mode as well as a teacher mode. Unfortunately they never bothered to extend it to the new versions of Office. I did see a different type of program in PCWorld in 2009 but it didn't look very enticing. Aimed more at adults with time on their hands rather than kids.

You could try to create presentations in an E-Learning open source application - http://sourceforge.net/search/?q=elearning.

Bruce's Unusual Tping Wizard is a free download and a good little program for touch-typing.
