Maths Teachers: Free 4 part lesson on Tesselation

Students learn about tessellation with shapes. More able students consider the angles of each shape. Less able practise tessellating with triangles and quadrilaterals.

The lesson begins by recapping the properties of quadrilaterals. In the development phase they learn about the properties of tessellation and explore the meaning of infinity. At the end of the lesson students are challenged to consider which shapes will and will not tessellate and why.
