….take the most wonderful film and use it to advertise a stupid loyalty card.

If you had bothered to research the history of this magnificent piece of cinematic history, you should have realised that using it was on a level with using the Mona Lisa to advertise Smarties.

    Be ashamed!!!

    Oh, thank you.

Play it again Sam... Wasn't that used in an ad in the 80's?

Email the Tesco CEO (dave.lewis@uk.tesco.com) complaining about it.

"I've seen it in black and white. I'd love to see it in colour". That was the slogan that won me a holiday to Casablanca years ago.

Why do people work at Tescos anyway for £9 hour 20 hours a week? Surely anyone can do better than that.

I used to work at Tesco !

The new improved clubcard is actually quite good if you do big shops there.

Mega fan of the film. Have many books about it and Bogart. Outraged ( seriously ) at Tesco . Scandalous .Contemplating taking my shopping experience elsewhere.

Yes the making of the film and the lives of the actors very pertinent to its message @Dragonlady30.

Thank you @nomad for the heads up re the email contact . Am on it.

( An aside I recall attending an all night Bogart triple bill at a cinema in Leeds when I was a student- happy days - the other feature was a surreal Jean Cocteau number )

No. A lot of people can't do better than that.

A lot of people work for £8.21. I know some of them. Many of them round here have come from Eastern Europe and are glad to be here and away from unsympathetic political regimes.

You buy something from Halfords? The people who assembled that bike or packed things in a box and put the box on a van and sent it to the shop? All on £8.21. And a lot of them (Halfords specifically about which I know plenty) are British. 5 days a week. £8.21 an hour.
