    Dear Dunty,

I feel so inadequate at yoga when half of the girls can do the splits. How can I hold my head up in the queue for the yoga blocks knowing the my hanumanasana just will not make the grade.

@lizziescat I'm finding it hard to have any sympathy for you because the weather is ***** here.
Go and pick up some leaves. And get some friends.

    Regards.

I was up by 8 this morning raking up leaves because the 'lawn man ' was due (to give autumn feed etc and he gives strict instructions that the lawn must be clear all the usual detritus).
    And he hasn't turned up.

Even the lawn man doesn't want to be my friend:(

@lindenlea Let's not kid anyone - you're not a girl. Not by a long chalk. And as for your inadequate 'hanunuwotsit', I suggest you do more pelvic floor exercises and put some pants on.
    No-one wants to see it.

    Regards.

    @knitone I've had a better offer.
    It's a daft idea, anyway.

My last attempt at the splits ten years ago left me with sciatica due to a trapped nerve ever since. My advice is not to bother.

our caretaker left a sheet on his door asking us to write problems on it.
we did, and he answered them.
apparently it was really for caretaking issues, but he had more fun.

Dear Dunty, how can I prevent myself from jumping up and down for joy and grinning like a mad woman whenever I'm asked if I'm missing teaching now that I'm retired? Yours E xx

    Dear Dunty

I spent ages washing and styling my hair this morning. Later I had to go out and was drenched with rain leaving my hair very limp and straggly looking.

Should I wash and style my hair again before my husband comes home? What might be the consequences of not doing so?

A very worried wife and homemaker.

@emerald With your gammy knees, you need to take great care. I suggest you spend most of the day in a chair, wrapped in a blanket. If you're retired, you must be pretty decrepit.
    And you are a madwoman.

    Regards.

Dear Dunty, We are often warned not to teach our grandmothers to suck eggs, but how did our grandmothers first learn to suck eggs if nobody was allowed to teach them? I am losing sleep over this.

    Yours, msb

@marlin I honestly wouldn't bother washing and styling your hair because it makes no difference - it's always limp and straggly.
Your husband won't notice. He just wants his tea on the table. Anything else is a bonus.

    Regards.
