I am a bit confused by this terminology. I see jobs advertised as Permanent , Full Time and then the description uses the term "Term Time Full Time".

What does this mean? I only see this term used for Scottish jobs.

    Cheers.

If it’s a state school then it means full time.

It’s because (according to our HR contact), ELC (nurseries) now operate over 50 weeks to differentiate school-based posts so people know the school holidays apply.

It's not just jobs at nursery schools which are advertised as such,in my LA it's all teaching jobs. However,if I were applying for jobs, the bit I would concentrate on if it's "permanent".

I never said it was jobs at nursery schools.

I said the reason given by HR for ALL non-50 week nursery positions (school teachers, support assistants, etc.) to say term time full time was so that applicants knew which positions had school holidays and which didn’t.

Many thanks for the clarification. I still think it is a wee bit confusing.
