  1. Hope you'll be able to help! If I was taken on for an initial 0.5 contract for a year, which now seems like it could be a full contact for the next year, at what point would I be entitled to become permanent? I'm confused by it all, or could the school still finish me after the two years?

    Thanks

You can be placed on successive fixed term contracts for 4 years before you are considered to be permanent. Even after this date, if the employer can show good reason, you can continue to be placed on fixed term contracts.
Reg 8 of Fixed-term Employees Regulations.
