Temporary post: maternity cover

  1. I accepted a post for a term starting in september. However, my circumstances have greatly changed (family reasons).
    It looks like (in the contract) I can give 4 weeks notice. Would it be worth me doing that, or should I contact the head and explain, giving them the chance to find someone else to work the term?
    Really worried and unsure about what to do.
