Teaching Mixed Media

Discussion in 'Art and design' started by Maggiemarie, Sep 13, 2015.

  1. I'm a supply teacher covering Art GCSE classes and have to try and teach 'mixed media' to some GCSE students. They are doing a mock exam from the AQA June 2015 paper. The question mentions Ingrid Dijikers, Robert Rauschenberg and a few others. I did Art A Level but haven't looked at it for years. I've not much experience of mixed media. Lots of the students are just sticking down bits of ripped newspaper but I feel as though I don't know how best to help them. How do you mark or grade mixed media as well? I'm really stuck and feel really out of my depth. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
