Teaching in USA any advice????

Discussion in 'Teaching overseas' started by i hate mondays, Jan 11, 2011.

  1. My husband and I are seriously considering a move to the USA, I am a primary school teacher and he is a self employed plasterer/painter/tiler. I have read the posts on here, but they all seem quite old! Is there anyone who can offer advice on teaching/living in the USA (particularly Chicago, but not exclusively) and how this compares to teaching in the UK? I have filled in an interest form on the VIF website, but am stuck as to what else to do! Any help will be appreciated, thanks
