teaching in SriLanka - any advice

Discussion in 'Teaching abroad' started by Physallis, Dec 5, 2011.

  1. I love Sri Lanka and have travelled extensively for work purposes. In total I have probably spent about three months there. I love it but it is not to everyone's taste. I have also heard that the international teaching jobs there are fairly poorly paid but I've never really looked into it. It is a beautiful country, the food is amazing and the culture is interesting but it can be frustrating and the politics are a little difficult to get your head round. They do have a Minister for Coconuts though (they have more ministers per capita than anywhere in the world - or something equally ridiculous) which has got to be a good thing. If you like coconuts. :)
