I'm not sure I'm in the right place but I can always delete it if I'm wrong. I'm already a teacher, secondary, Design and Technology and I love it but I'm unhappy due to my living situations. I have recently written some other posts regarding my living situation and basically I want to move to Scotland to be closer to family.

What I would like to know is what it's like to teach up there?
What are the main differences between the systems?
Is there much room for supply teaching?
Is there anything I should know?

I'm aware I need to apply for a Scottish teaching licence.

I would be wanting to go to Dumfries and Galloway, especially around the Stranraer/Ayr area.

Thanks in advance. There are many wonderful people on this forum!
