I'm an experienced Primary PE Teacher having taught in two independent schools in Surrey for the past five years. I'm desperate to get out to the middle east and experience teaching in a new environment with differnt cultures. I have applied for so many jobs but very rarerly hear back from them. Any ideas/thoughts?

    Hi,
When did you apply for the jobs? Did you check how the school would contact you in light of you being successful/unsuccessful?
I would send an email asking for a progress update on your application.
    :)

Which jobs have your aplied for? Few international schools will look for primary PE specialists - either Secondary PE or primary general will be preferred.

Think I have to disagree with this one. In the ME at least, all the Primary schools I know, have specialist PE teachers.
    Check out BSME schools.
Not sure what the situation is in Europe, but I know of Brit curric school in Greece who also have specialist PE Depts.
Most of the teachers in these schools are secondary trained who have crossed over the divide.

I have only been applying for Primary PE Posts that have been advertised on the TES or via there website. I have been to all the schools on bsme website and have probably applied in the region of 30 jobs? I just never seem to hear anything back!

I'm also applying for overseas jobs but I was told best to go through agencies and fairs - and I have the advantage of shortage secondary subject and prior international teaching experienc. I suggest you try an agency like SA
