Teaching in Doha as a trailing spouse

Discussion in 'Teaching overseas' started by BahrainB, Jul 29, 2011.

  1. I would welcome anyone's advice on teaching in Doha as a local hire.
We have moved from Bahrain on a company transfer but things are proving to be at least 25% more expensive and rent possibly double.
I worked in both "British " schools on the island.
I'm thinking of working part time or doing supply teaching in Qatar.
How are the rates of pay for local hire ?
Do particular schools , without obviously naming , pay better than others?
    Thanks
