    Hi all,

Grateful for all advice from UK teachers in Canada or Canadian teachers too. I am a PGCE qualified Head of Year and DT teacher in London with 4 years teaching experience, looking for an adventure and considering coming to Canada on a IEC Visa (if I can get a place in the ballot!). I was wondering what the current situation is for teachers over in Canada - are there lots of jobs? Would I be able to pick up supply work if I wanted to travel? How is Design Technology taught in schools?

    Thank you in advance,
    J :)

Canadian teachers are flocking overseas because they can't get jobs at home. Some I know have been on supply for over a decade because there are NO permanent jobs available. There are lots of threads on the forum about this topic. Have a search round and you should find a lot of replies.
