I have been out of teaching for 3 years and would like to now teach abroad. I am confused as to the status of QTS via the GTP route and its acceptance. I qualified through the GTP route in 2000 after my BA in Literature. I also hold the NPQH and Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. My MA finishes in September 2019 . Any advice will be appreciated.

I think that it will be this, rather than your lack of PGCE, that will be more of an obstacle - at least to start with. What have you been doing in between apart from the MA? And what kind of position are you looking for? Will you want to be moving with kids and/or OH?

My guess is that, unless you are lucky, you may have to accept a position in a country / school that might not be your first choice.
