Teaching a 2 hour lesson on Wales...any ideas?

Discussion in 'Primary' started by cmann00, Feb 11, 2012.

  1. I have a creative 2 hour lesson to teach on Wales (KS1 and KS2). Can focus on any aspect of the country and can include making things. Any ideas?

  4. For something creative I have previously in a lesson given the pupils an outline of Wales on a sheet of paper and then they have made a collage using small pictures of all things Welsh (daffodils, Stereophonics, Millennium Stadium, leeks etc!)

    • The story of Saint David (seeing as it is nearly March 1st). Would be worth having a look at NGFL Cymru
    • Making Welsh Cakes/Tasting Welsh Cakes
    • Love Spoons (designing/making/history)
    • Welsh songs (Sosban Fach- also a nice programme on NGFL Cymru)

  5. Thankyou for all the great ideas! :)
