Teaching 2D shape...some advice please...

  1. I wouldn't complicate the initial work with fire engines to be honest. One I tend to do a lot for "arty" shape activities is packaging prints (especially if you can get representatives of the triangle family courtesy of toblerone and, slightly tenuously, muller corners) - just in terms of allowing discussion about corners, sides etc.
    Tragically this often requires scoffing Toblerones - the hardships we endure!

    [​IMG] That's ok. I commented as a new poster and I've noticed quite a few threads where people have jumped on someone's opinion or ideas, quite rudely it must be said. It's a shame but this Early Years forum doesn't come across as particularly friendly or welcoming to newbies.
