Teacher Training SEN

Discussion in 'Thinking of teaching' started by pingu78, Mar 7, 2011.

  1. Hi,
I work in a primary special school and have done for around 10years, in this time i have completed BA hons degree through part time study and am now looking to complete teacher training with the full support and backing of my school. The problem i have and the advice i'm seeking are with the options available to me !
I need to continue working as I train, and my educational experience is all from within primary special schools (all though the degree study covered full curriculum knowledge, criteria etc) I wish to stay in special education after training also.
I know GTP seems the likely route but with limited places and lack of experience in mainstream settings regardless of my knowledge seems to be the downfall.
Any advice would be helpful, thanks
