Hi, I worked as an FE teacher and 2 years in a private school, over a period of approx 10 years. I will be 60 at the end of the year and I am trying to find out about my pensions. I remember being told to register my pension but I cannot recall whether I did so. Could you advise me who to contact or where to get information from and what information I'll need to provide eg NI number? Thank you

For occupational pensions, if you remember the pension provider's name go to their website and contact them.

If it wasn't TPS and you can't remember the pension provider name there's this government pension tracing service. You need to name of the employer though and if, eg, it was a private school the employer might not have been the name of the school but the company who owned the school.

If that doesn't come up with it or you don't remember the employer's name try here

For State Pension you can get a forecast here
