Teacher Appreciation Week 2015: who would you like to thank?

Yesterday marked the start of Teacher Appreciation Week which ends on Friday 8th May. The week-long celebration acknowledges the significant contribution teachers make for the improvement of pupils and students. American schoolchildren and students traditionally use this time as an opportunity to say thank you to their teachers with notes of gratitude, gifts and pictures.

Is there a teacher that you would like to thank? Maybe it was a teacher that inspired you to join the profession, made learning fun, or recognized your talents and helped you reach your potential. Whatever the reason it would be lovely to hear from teachers about who they would like to thank in the profession and why.

If you’d like to join in, tweet @tes with a picture of you holding up a piece of paper with the name of the teacher you’d like to thank, along with the reason you’d like to thank them. The best will appear in a blog over the next week, and all the pictures will be curated on TES’ Pinterest page.
