BBC reporting right now that Russian troops are now in position between Syrian and Turkish troops.
So what happens if Russia and Turkey get into a shooting war? Where does NATO need to come down?
In a stinging rebuke, the House of Representatives today voted 354-60 to condemn the Trump administration for withdrawing troops from Syria.
In a follow up, the House voted 0-354 to actually pick up a rifle and go fight in Syria themselves or to send anyone in their family to do so.
Oh no! Now it looks like Turkey has caved in to Trump's extortion and agreed to a ceasefire.
This is no good. He should be impeached for interfering in the garbage elite's permanent war on everybody. With him out of the way we can get the fighting back on track.
Credit to him and Pence. Got to wonder what they offered Erdogan. Sad that the Kurds had to be pulled deeper into Assad's Syria.
Images on reddit purporting to be Kurdish children hit by Turkish napalm.
Thing is after 8 years of Syrian war distortion I just don't know if I can believe the images to be what they claim to be.
Most Western news agencies can't afford to have their own staff on the ground so they rely on local sources to provide their footage, with predictable results.
Funny how this story went cold overnight, almost like it had lost its Trump-bashing usefulness.
But fascinating to see how the garbage establishment instantly unified in support of permanent war. And why not? There's a lot in it for them and they're not the ones who have to go to the funerals.
Also funny is how "leaving" Syria excited all this dramatic, brow slapping, hankie clutching debate but there was zero debate about the US going there in the first place.
But after all it was only going to be for three months. That's what they told us, six years ago.
Isn’t he sending troops to Saudi Arabia instead?
And of course you understand that there's a big difference between sending troops to an allied country where they won't be shooting at or being shot at by anyone and sending troops to a non-ally to take an open ended combat role on behalf of one side in that country's civil war?
Well Erdogan wants to smash heads... looks like the Kurds aren't out of it yet... Pence just bought them time.
Turkey - Kurdish parliamentarians stopped from making a statement condemning Turkish invasion of Syria.
Someone tell me again how Turkey isn't a police state?
The troops that are being withdrawn from Syria are going to Iraq.
And apparently, they might now keep some troops in Syria after all, albeit thd damage has been done.
Iraq isn't exactly home...
Armies are long used to misleading political statements. Home, but not yet sunshine - maybe it will all be over by Christmas!
Ah Christmas... 2020... 2021... maybe 2022... 2122...
over by Eid, surely . . . ?
Rounding up Kurds in Istanbul
Tayyib is... well...
So Idlib is being shelled and occupied by Damascus forces, driving Islamist rebels and refugees into Turkey...
Turkish backed rebels are now being redeployed along with the Turkish navy to Libya, backing the internationally recognised Tripoli government in the face of fighting from forces of Khalifa Haftar.
Meanwhile Turkey is engaged in joint air patrols of Syrian airspace with Russia...
2020 is going to be very confusing!
