Just a thought,Teaching Assistant teaching core subjects at level 3.The TA who's a level 3 doesn't feel comfortable teaching a class of 29 and two children have statements in the class. However I must say there is also number of children with SEN.

It happens often in a school I used to teach in.
They can't get teachers, so have trainees and TAs in classes on their own.
The teachers they have are off long term.
They can't get supply staff because they treat them so badly.

So long as there is a responsible adult in front of the children, some schools can do no more.

TAs shouldn't be delivering anything but in reality they do - far too much, in my view. Most TAs are good, but at the end of the day they are not teachers and they are not accountable for the progress of the pupils.
