Targets for your class - help pls

Discussion in 'Primary' started by snowy1975, Nov 29, 2011.

  1. Hiya......
We have individual writing targets for children.
They are based on the criterion scale and elements that they don't achieve regularly are set as writing targets but we try to group children with the same target so that we can attack the target during guided sessions. They all have a writing target sheet that is with them whenever they are writing, in english , science, topic etc........
We also have must, should & could layered targets for each class for writing and maths.
There's no harm in having individual targets 'tieing laces' etc that could be linked to pshe......but I'd say that if you're going to set targets you need to make sure you have curriculum time to teach them so that the children can achieve.......could you set them as homework targets so that it puts the responsibility on the parents??
