Target Setting at a New School

Following much nagging and chasing after a school move in January, I’m finally getting my LM to sit woth me for some targets to be set for this academic year.

Two of them I agree with. One of them it has been suggested should link to a role I am taking on after Easter. Though I understand the rationale, is it sensible to set a target that you will only work one term of the year towards? Is it more a case of it needing to be worded correctly?

After an awful experience with my appraisal for the last academic year being ‘failed’ despite evidence and a successful mid year review I want to ensure I don’t have to go through something similar this time.
