    How about tailoring the ads?
Required: Exceptional Teacher for the Aqaba International School - Jordan
To apply forward your CV, a covering letter outlining how you would
contribute to the International School of Tripoli and the names and
contact details of three professional references to
    here

I know what you mean. I'm still waiting to see the advert that says:

Wanted, lazy incompetent teacher, with little knowledge of subject, and even less enthusiasm for it. A disposition towards drink and rogering the living daylights out of students is highly desirable.

Presumably every school wants dynamic, knowledgeable teachers, etc.,etc. So why state the obvious?

  4. That's what I said in my letter of application and look what happened....
Oh but then again it's a state school...

  5. Ooops I just looked up that word..I dont do that for obvious reasons. I just imagined it meant badgering and harrying....
What a naughty boy you are.
A bit of light entertainment for such stressful times for those of use waiting for some news.

Well, yes I know that sometimes you feel like you've read one JD; you've read 'em all, but in this case I was thinking more along the lines that the HT of Aqaba International School Jordan might not be overly impressed if I sent him a CV and letter outlining how I would contribute to the Int Sch of Tripoli.

Since when was Aqaba in Tripoli? I know that international teachers to be "flexible", but this is going a bit too far! On the other hand, perhaps you could teach in two different schools at the same time via video conferencing. Then you could claim two salaries as well.
