The wide subject of sustainability is often mixed up with issues of social conscience. If the terminology was changed, would it help to create a better understanding about some of the important issues that can be linked to the subject?

    Resource efficiency

    Learning opportunities

    Reducing costs

    Valuable life skills

    Easily identifiable cross curricular links

    .......and much more

I would be interested in hearing your views on how the terminology could be changed to encourage more schools to realise some of the practical benefits of an integrated approach to sustainability
