This is a strange request, but I was wondering if anybody knows any novels based in/around Sussex that would be suitable for a KS3 class. We are currently re-vamping our curriculum and looking to work around the topic of Sussex.
    Thank you!

I'm ideally looking for Year 7, but thank you!

How about non-fiction? Bill Bryson has written about East Sussex.

One of the Sherlock Holmes short stories is titled The Sussex Vampire but I’m not sure whether it would be suitable!

Sound like the beginnings of a brilliant unit to me.
"Hey students. I was looking around for a novel or short story collection based in Sussex. Something like [another novel like that but not in Sussex] - know what I mean? Seems like there's nothing out there. What do you think about filling that gap and getting published for real?"
