I am a current university student undertaking my fourth and final year in a bachelor of primary education.

For one of my subjects this semester, I am required to conduct a research assignment on a topic of my choice. I chose to look further into Emotional Intelligence.

In case you are unaware of what this is it is defined as: The level of your ability to understand other people, what motivates them and how to work cooperatively with them.
In my research I have discovered that there is a correlation between emotional intelligence and a students ability to cope during the primary school to secondary school transition period.

As a result of this, I have decided to base my assignment around discovering to what extent emotional intelligence is taught in our schools, specifically to our upper year primary students.

I am currently looking for both upper year primary teachers and primary school principals in the hopes that they will answer a short survey that I have created.

There is one which I am asking principals, https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/F8FTVZ7

and one that I'm asking year teachers to fill out https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/FV2YQP7

If you could spare a few moments to assist me in my research and answer these surveys it would be greatly appreciated. All information I collect will be completely anonymous.

    Thank you in advance.
