Hi everyone, hope all is well.

I've been lucky enough not to apply for a new job for a while, but have now recently started to apply to various schools.
From my previous experience, I would send a covering letter which would include my supporting statement separately from the application form.

However I have now seen several job adverts asking for a supporting statement within the application form and also requesting a separate cover letter. Am I right in assuming that the supporting statement will go in the form and a covering letter is just a brief document highlighting what I have enclosed with the application?
