    Hi,
I would like to begin supply teaching in the Norfolk area as soon as possible, however, I am unsure of how to begin the process. Do I have to apply with an agency? Or do I need to apply directly with the local council? Any advice on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi

I am not in Norfolk, but not many Councils run supply lists anymore. Your best bet would be to call Norfolk County Council and ask or look online. If they do still have a list of supply teachers, you can register with them and agencies.

First, however, try contacting some schools directly with a letter and CV. You might get work that way especially primary work.

Read the thread New to Supply for other help and there is a thread also about contacting schools directly.
