Discussion in 'Jobseekers' started by sirfeb2012, Feb 12, 2012.

  1. Went for 'A' Levels, after that 3 year degree then another year for PGCE with QTS ... with over £40k student DEBT...

Registered as a supply teacher in Wales and my wage will be £80 per day ... no supply work though ...

A friend of mine ... has 3 'O' Levels ... 2 weeks training ... works for a council in Wales as a Care Assistant and her wage is £8.72 per hour ... she works 10 hour shifts...

    Do the math ...

Then teach me how fair life is ... sitting here ... kicking myself ... clueless ...

Well ... out of desperation I have to facebook my friend to bring me a Care Assistant application pack from her workplace next time she comes by my mum's house in her 58-reg or I have to walk for some 25 minutes to her one bed crib hoping she will buy me a larger then drop me back home ...

Yes, but you will be getting £80 for about five and a half hours a day, not ten....

    Indeed.
Care assistants also do absolutely back breaking work - sorry but they earn every penny of that £8.72. x

Their conditions of service are nowhere near as good as a teacher's, either.
