Hi, I've just done some supply work in a school I was employed directly by (not through an agency). I will be paid by the Borough. I have been told I will be paid at my MPS scale. However, if I divide my annual MPS scale by the number of days I have worked the daily amount comes to far less than I have been paid per day when I've done supply work through an agency. Can anyone tell me how an LEA works out the MPS for a supply teacher per day? Surely it can't be less than the agencies pay? Many thanks for your help.
