supply cover

Discussion in 'Supply teaching' started by blondiesup, May 16, 2011.

  1. I have recently gone job share, where I do three days and my 'partner' does two. She has gone on Maternity leave and the 'word on the street' is that the school is not going to employ supply for her two days. I really don't know if they can do this and wondered if anyone had been in that position. I work in a school where the new timetable starts at the beginning of June until the holidays at the end of June, so that means my classes will be 'please taken' for two days a week when I am trying to set some kind of standards. The first years will not be up from primary so the timetable will be slightly light because of this. Does anyone know if this is allowed?

Are they loading her 2 days on the new timetable with YR 7 classes so that there are fewer slots to be covered?
I don't understand that statement at all.
