Supply and Induction Rules (Wales)

Discussion in 'Personal' started by welshsunshine1, Jan 26, 2011.

  1. From the GTCW
Firstly the date you qualified would be the date that shows on your QTS certificate and not the date you received the certificate.
In relation to Induction, you have 5 years from the QTS date to complete your Induction period; after this time you can still complete the Induction but would need to request an extension from the Welsh Assembly or Local Authority to continue to do short term supply work; you can obtain 2 extensions each lasting a year.
After this extra 2 years you can still work towards completing Induction in Wales but you would not be able to carry out short term supply work.
