student loan and GTP

Discussion in 'Trainee and student teachers' started by silverdale1766, May 31, 2011.

  1. Hi, as the unqualified teacher pay takes me over the threshold for repaying my loan, does this mean that I will need to start repayments in my GTP year?

  2. Yes but you wont pay much. You only pay back 9% on everything you earn over £15,000 so it will probably be less than a tenner a month.

  3. I have been paying about £9 per month off my student loan throughout my GTP year....
