Hi all, I've been appointed as being responsible for student leadership with a focus on school council and student voice. I have been given a fairly large blank canvas to work from but am in need of advice/opinion on how to establish school council.

What does school council mean to you?
How do you maintain student involvement and buy-in?
Any pitfalls that I should be aware of?

    Your input is greatly appreciated!

I think you need a rationale. What do you / setting expect to witness as a result of this initiative? Start with that and work backwards?

Thank you! A working school council which instills values and democracy whilst enabling students some autonomy around school life...

    Marvellous.
